CORTLANDT ROWING 2021 SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM 7th–12th Grade
A coached rowing program for youth to learn all aspects of the sport and prepare for competitive races. There’s a place on the team for everyone.
CCRA is committed to the health and safety of our rowers and staff. We will be following the recommendations of local authorities and US Rowing regarding COVID-19 concerns and conform to social distancing guidelines. All rowers and families must read and agree to adhere to CCRA’s COVID-19 Policies and Procedures.
Fee: $325 per youth rower. Additional $50 fee to be charged separately for those that race at the Philadelphia Youth Regatta.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Rowers must register within two weeks of the summer session start, or wait until the fall session.
Three weekly practices:
Location is weather dependent, be on lookout for communications via the SportsYou app. In the event of a bad weather forecast, practice will be cancelled, and will be announced on SportsYou.
All new team members must pass a swim test, consisting of: Swim 50 meters, tread water for 10 minutes, put on a PFD (lifejacket) while in the water. This is for your safety. Swim test scheduling is TBA.
CCRA competes in several local and regional regattas throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons. Races and events will be selected by the head coach based on the competitive potential of the crew and the attitude, attendance, and performance of the individuals throughout the season.
This summer, we are planning to race at:
