Winter 2018 Masters


Whether you have never picked up an oar, or rowed in high school or college, we welcome all masters (adults) into the Winter Masters Program. For those who are new to rowing, you will learn to row the basic stroke, using Concept 2 Rowing Machines and on the water rowing. Opportunities to compete in regattas will be made available for experienced rowers. Those who opt to sign up for regattas should be willing to commit to a consistent training schedule, willing to accept coach’s feedback and ready to compete with your teammates. 

  • Program runs from December 19–March 4
  • Coached practices 2x weekly take place at CCRA Indoor at 137 7th Street:
    • Tuesdays at 6:30pm–8pm
    • Sundays at 8am–9:30am
    • Informal erg sessions (generally on Saturdays at 8-9:30am)
    • Row to Music classes on Monday nights are included
  • A sport for everyone! If your strength is not in rowing, we will train you to lead rowers as a Coxswain, and develop your leadership skills.

Fee $125 per Masters Rower. Indoor tank fees and indoor regatta fees are separate.


  • Learn to row basic stroke, using Concept 2 Rowing Machines
  • Learn the parts of the boat and basic commands (new Team Members)
  • Synchronized rowing to reinforce working as one boat
  • Build endurance and strength to prepare for Spring water season
